Realtors, Lenders, and More: All the Cool People We Get to Talk To
You may have noticed, we really like people.
Recently, on the Life Behind the Highlight Real Podcast, we’ve had the delight of interviewing some amazing humans. We want to take a minute to a) thank them for spending time with us, and b) remind you to go listen to their stories if you haven’t already.
These are some of the people we’ve gotten to chat with in the last few months. Some are old friends, some very new friends, and we’re grateful for all of them.
Mackenzie Rasmus (Ep. 83: Marathons and More)
Mac is a fellow realtor in the Twin Cities, and an all around lovely person. In October 2025, he completed the Chicago marathon. We spent this episode talking about everything from physical and mental training, to the community around the race, to why in the world someone would choose to run even one marathon (let alone multiple of them). We dig deep into why Mac runs and lessons he's learned from running that he carries over into the rest of his life.
Ricky Cheath (Ep. 98: Ricky Cheath’s Origin Story)
Ricky is the Senior Vice President of Regional Growth & Diversity Lending at Granite Bank, one of the fastest growing mortgage companies in the Midwest. But, of course, his story does not start there. It actually starts in Cambodia, stops in a few refugee camps, and eventually leads to Minnesota. Ricky’s story is well worth hearing.
Bryan Clapper (Ep. 100: Meet Bryan Clapper)
Bryan is a realtor, Minnesota hypeman, and a thoroughly entertaining person to chat with. We barely touched on real estate in this episode, because we got so engrossed talking about Bryan’s background in journalism and his altercations with Spam (yes, the meat product). Give this one a listen if you want a good story or a good laugh.
Bardia (Ep. 102: The Attitude of Hospitality)
We met Bardia during a stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Houston, and immediately knew he was someone special. He went above and beyond his role as a manager, creating an atmosphere that felt welcoming and memorable for the guests. So, naturally, we had to get him on the podcast! His story takes more turns than we could have predicted: from growing up in Tehran, to playing professional soccer, to studying in Switzerland, to pursuing his current career in hospitality. Bardia overflows with warmth and wisdom, and we're so grateful for our conversations with him.
And coming soon on the pod…
Taylor Doolittle
Check in next week to hear our conversation with Taylor, a fellow RE/MAX Results agent and leader of Team Steady. We’ve known Taylor for a while now, but we still couldn’t have guessed where this conversation would take us. From Appalachia, to Australia, to Minnesota, and more. If you haven’t met Taylor yet, we’re excited to introduce you to one of the nicest people we know.
We can't wait to learn about more amazing people!
